We recognise that dentistry generates a substantial amount of waste, particularly in the form of plastics, both within our practice and at home. That’s why we are steadfast in our efforts to minimise waste at every opportunity.

We have implemented a range of changes within our practices to achieve this goal. From offering eco-friendly alternatives like bamboo toothbrushes and recyclable oral hygiene products to establishing convenient drop-off points for recycling old aligners, we are actively taking steps to reduce our environmental impact.
In our relentless pursuit of sustainability, we continuously explore innovative recycling methods for all types of waste. Additionally, we are proud to collaborate with esteemed organizations like Gold for Kids, as we firmly believe in giving back to our community.
Through various environmentally-conscious upgrades, such as transitioning to energy-efficient LED lighting and implementing other eco-friendly measures, we have already made significant strides in reducing our carbon footprint.

At Smile Dental Care, we are committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 across Scope 1 (direct), Scope 2 (purchased energy), and Scope 3 (indirect supply chain and travel) emissions.
We have already begun implementing sustainability measures, including green energy audits, and will continue to take meaningful steps across energy, waste, procurement, and travel to reduce our environmental impact. The commitment was made on 01/09/2024 by the Smile dental care management body.
